A dynamic QR holds a short redirect URL we control. When someone scans it, our server points them at the destination you set. You can change that destination anytime — the printed code never changes.
Some payloads don't need a redirect: a phone number, a vCard, a WiFi password. Those are static, encoded directly into the image. They can't be edited later, but they always work — even offline.

What's the difference between a dynamic and a static QR code?
A dynamic QR encodes a short redirect URL we control — when someone scans it, our server forwards them to the destination you set. You can change that destination anytime, even after the code is printed. A static QR encodes the data directly into the image (a phone number, a WiFi password, a vCard). It can't be edited later, but it always works — even offline.

Do my QR codes expire?
No. Codes you create on Free or Pro stay active as long as your account is active. There's no expiration timer, no "premium QR" markup added to the image, and no rate limit on the redirect itself.

Can I change the destination after I print?
Yes — that's the whole point. URL codes you create as dynamic can have their destination updated anytime from the dashboard. The code on the printed page does not change.
